The cold weather has kept us mostly indoors. We are actually enjoying this time. I am being as crafty as I can! I made my first granny square! I would love to make a blanket. I should be done in about 5 years. I found awesome direction on how to make them here

I am LOVING this ebook from handbookofnautrestudy.blogspot.com. It is making our winter homeschool a heck of a lot more interesting. Outdoor challenges and artists and composers make this so much fun. You can't beat the price either.

I am working on some waldorf dolls for my etsy store. It's slow going though. So much hand sewing. The end result is sooo worth it!

This book is cracking me up. I find my self laughing out loud while reading this. It sure make my treadmill time go faster. The title of the first chapter is Touching Testicles. Now you know this book is a hoot!

Stay warm!

Grand Opening of Bluegrass Bliss!

I FINALLY got my new etsy shop opened! Yea! I have been working on this slowly for sometime but just couldn't seem to make things to fall into place.

Well, today, I was able to get my pictures to upload correctly and list a few handcarded batts.
I have some fun handspun yarn waiting to be photographes and listed as well.

In my free time (haha), I'm making some more waldorf dolls.  I have 4 cuties that I'm hoping to list by next weekend. The only problem with making dolls is that my 3 year old thinks they are all for her. So maybe I'll only sell 3 of them. We'll see!

If you want to take a peep at my shop, just head over here!

We are hunkering down for a snow storm tomorrow. It's suppose to be a big one.
I love to be snowed in because I get lots of crafting done. So Looking forward to it!

New Year, New Beginnings

Welcome to my new blog, Bluegrass Bliss! It's a new year and changes have been brewing for some time now. My old blog Liquid Sunshine was started as a way to promote and help people getting into the raw food  lifestyle and although I still feel that raw food can be healing and cleansing, I no longer feel it's necessary go at it 80-100%. I'm throwing out the percentages! Food is not my religion. I eat healthy but sometimes I just love me some comfort food, you know? My focus has really switched back to my crafting and creating. That's what makes me happy. As a family, we are focused on finding some land so that we can have a few animals, a huge garden, and get back to the simple things in life. This blog will be focused on just that, my family, my crafting, and living simply. I hope that you will join me on occassion and that you might find some inspiration here in this humble space. I know that I have been and will continue to be inspired by all the amazing women out there sharing their life's journey as well.

Please feel free to comment or add to anything I might talk about. I love to meet people out there that are on a similar journey. Thanks for stopping by!
